The Giles County Historical Society, in conjunction with the Giles County Public Library, will hold its fall quarterly meeting Sunday at 2 p.m.

Guest lecturers will be Lauren Walls and Sydney School of New South Associates.

The two will present the results of the year’s cultural resources survey and archival research for the Wolf Gap Education Outreach campus.

Wolf Gap is a local non-profit that combines nature and history education programs and support for the Giles County community including local school programs and the public through special events.

“The program will include the approaches used by New South to investigate the archaeological and archival history of Wolf Gap, the results of our research and fieldwork, as well as the community involvement with the project, which was completed in February 2019,” Walls explained. “This project was a joint effort between the land owners, New South Associates, Wolf Gap Education Outreach and the larger community of Giles County.”

The presentation will be followed by an informal and interactive hands-on artifact identification.
