Elkton Mayor and Alderman made a request during the last meeting that a clear list of accounts and current balances be presented at every meeting going forward.

Alderman Bonjour made a motion to transfer enough money from the savings account into the general fund to make payroll for the following week and was seconded by Alderman. It was agreed that the Mayor and Aldermen's checks will be held until the end of the month.

During the monthly meeting, bids on a Crown Victoria police car were opened and after consideration the aldermen decided to set a minimum bid of $1,000 and run it in the paper twice with the contingency that the City of Elkton has the right to refuse any or all bids.

Howard Cox from Fort Campbell discussed the storm water runoff and culverts on Spring Street.

Cox recommended that the city have a remote camera system put through the culverts at an estimated cost of $1,400 and replace a 16 foot section of pipe for between $8,000 and $9,000 and then have someone come in with a vacuum and clean the culverts out for an estimated $325 an hour.

The Giles County Highway Department will require written permission from each property owner affected so workmen will be able to work on their property.
