If you enjoy the music of high school bands then mark your calendar for Saturday.

The Pulaski Classic takes place at Sam Davis Park starting at 1 pm. There will be 21 bands from all over Middle Tennessee scheduled to perform.

Awards will be handed out to the best in each classification.

According to Lynn Barrow, band backer supporter, the Classic was started several years ago by the late Larry Watson, who was president and a longtime band supporter.

She said this event is their largest fund raiser of this year and will help raise approximately 1/4 of their budget to purchase uniforms and other expenses.

Vendors will also be setup around the stadium.

Admission and program is $10.00, with all proceeds to the Giles County High Bandbackers.

The Columbia Academy band will perform first at 1 p.m. with the host band Giles County set to perform last.
