The Giles County Commission will meet Monday in the County Boardroom at the Giles County Courthouse.

The agenda includes reports for August 2019 from the Finance Director including Giles County General Fund, Drug, Highway, School Federal, Food Services, Debt Services, Capital Projects, Highway Capital Projects, Education Capital Projects, Giles County Highway and the Giles County Health Department Quarterly report.

The commissioners are to approve 20 Giles Countians their notary duties and four new notaries during the meeting.

Authorizing resolutions will be heard on the approval of surety bonds for other county officials and county employees required to have bonds and the approve surety bonds for other county officials and employees.

Commissioners will consider authorizing the amendment of the 2019-2020 budget and County General Fund 101.

Reports from Economic Director David Hamilton, Giles County Archives Barbara Nicolson and County Executive Melissa Greene will be presented.

Also during the 9 a.m. meeting, commissioners are scheduled to fill the position of 6th District School Board member Charles McElroy until the next General election.
