A Day at the Farm is the theme for the 70th Giles County Fair presented by the Pulaski Lions Club. Agriculture plays a major role in our economy and is a focal point of the fair. This year several new things will be taking place in Volunteer Hall to promote agriculture.

Children 6 years old and under can receive a free ice cream cup by milking a “cow”. There will also be a cotton gin, a worm tunnel and other hands-on exhibits promoting agriculture with youth.

The 4-H program is taking the lead in operating a unique concession where they will offer a Fair Float (ice cream in soda) in a commemorative cup along with a couple of other treats. Proceeds will support youth exhibit premiums.

Exhibits that youth and adults can enter include vegetables, field and forage crops, country hams, honey, crafts, baked goods, canning, woodworking and more will be taken Monday July 29 from 1:00 pm until 6:30 pm. Adult flower show exhibits will be taken on July 30 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
