At Tuesday's regular meeting of the Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen, the board set a public hearing concerning the 2019-2020 budget. Residents will have an opportunity to speak about next year's budget, which does not require a tax increase. The public hearing is set for Tuesday, June 25 at 12:05 p.m. during the board's regular meeting.

Two Bids were opened on the 2019 Gas System Project  on Wallace Road plus a line on Powdermill Road. The first bid was from Silver Points, Tennessee  with a bid of $566,527 and the other one from Florence, Alabama for $426, 707.

The board agreed that City Administrator Terry Harrison and the engineer review both bids and come back with a decision during the next meeting.

Also, adopted on the first reading was an ordinance related to dust free surface in commercial and industrial districts. The board set a public hearing on June 25 at 12:07p.m.

Rezoning property located at 114 Perkins Street from R-4 to C-3 passed on first reading. 

The reason for rezoning this property Harrison said was because the owner plans to open a real estate business  at the address. Public hearing was scheduled June 25 at 12:07 p.m.

An application for a temporary event permit for June 15th was passed for the Giles County Chamber/Main Street.

A parade permit for Kathy's Tavern and Grill for June 29th was also passed.
