Law enforcement, Giles County Fire and Rescue and Giles County E-M-S responded to the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Crescent View Road that resulted in injuries and entrapment of the driver.

Just after noon on Friday, 61-year-old Sherri Erwin  was traveling south on Crescent View Road in a 2005 Chevy Malibu  when she was negotiating a curve, lost control and over corrected. The vehicle crossed the northbound lane striking a tree causing the vehicle to overturn.

Extrication was necessary to remove her from the vehicle.

Erwin was airlifted to Vanderbilt Trauma where she is listed in critical condition.
