One lucky person in Ardmore won $50,000 in the Powerball drawing Wednesday night. The ticket was bought on the Magic Mile in Ardmore, just three minutes from the Alabama state line.

This isn’t the first time a business in Ardmore has seen a winner. There have been nearly a dozen Powerball and Tennessee Cash winning tickets sold in Ardmore in the last several years.

The Alabama Senate passed a lottery bill last week, so there may be a lucky winner in Alabama soon.

The bill is headed to House committee next week. If it passes through committee, it’ll go to the House floor.
