U.S.C. Castings an Illinois-based company has reached  a long-term supply agreement with Magotteaux for the supply of differentially heat-treated DHT shredder hammers and other wear parts.

As part of the agreement, Magotteaux says it has dedicated production capacity for the scrap industry wear parts to be poured in North America at foundries in Pulaski and Monterrey, Mexico.

Barry Sheppard of USC Castings said in Magotteaux we have found a partner who can not only deliver the performance we require for our customers, but also the reliable supply that’s critical for on-time delivery.

Magotteaux is thrilled to have entered into this agreement with USC Casting, said Alan Greer, general manager at Magotteaux for Canada, Mexico and the U.S.

The agreement extends beyond DHT hammers to other shredder wear parts where uniform alloy chemistries have been formulated to provide long life and superior shredder production.

Magotteaux employs more than 3,200 people and has more than 700,000 tons of annual production for grinding media and castings through its facilities worldwide.
