A local fast food business has closed their doors in Pulaski.

Owners at Krystal's on West College Street left a note on the door due to unforeseen circumstances, regrettably as of March 24 will officially close the Pulaski Krystal.

They said we absolutely appreciate the patronage city of Pulaski and surrounding businesses have shown us over the last 20 years.

According to a marketing spokesman at Krystal, they were sorry to confirm that the Krystal location in Pulaski has closed permanently due to declining sales and profits for this location.

They added it was a franchise store rather than a company-owned store. The franchisee has asked Krystal for permission to relocate to a better location. The West College Street location employed 15 team members, all of whom were offered the opportunity to transfer to one of Krystal's five closest locations.

Krystal is known for its small, square hamburgers, called  sliders in places other than the Southeast, with steamed-in onions. The company  moved its corporate headquarters from Chattanooga where it had been based since 1932, to Atlanta in early 2013.
