Bridgeforth Middle School has earned state of Tennessee Reward status.

 Based on scores from the 2017-18 school year released by the state, Bridgeforth went from a Level 1 school in 2016-17 to a Level 5 last school year. This means the school went from a school significantly below its achievement expectations to being exemplary over achievement expectations.

According to Tennesseee Department of Education,  Reward schools are those that are improving overall student academic achievement and student growth for both all students and for student groups, and are identified annually.

 Bridgeforth is one of 318 schools in 85 school districts that earned Reward status.

Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System scoring released by the state, Bridgeforth saw most of its gains in 2017-18 in the seventh and eighth grades. Both of those grade levels saw gains in every subject area. Sixth grade earned level three (met expectations) in Social Studies and Science and level one (significantly below expectations) in Math and ELA.

Eighth grade improved by 7.2 points in Math and 5.2 points in Social Studies while seventh grade saw improvements of 5.5 points in Science and 4.4 points in Social Studies over the previous year.
