A Giles county native will become the Program Executive Officer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Presidential and Executive Airlift Directorate headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Brigadier General Ryan Britton, formerly of Pulaski, is currently the director of Global Outreach Programs for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition at the Pentagon.

His new position will be responsible for the planning and execution of all life cycle activities of the VC-25A fleet.

Britton entered the Air Force in 1991 after graduating from the University of Memphis as an ROTC with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

He has served in numerous leadership positions throughout his career including deputy director for acquisition for the Missile Defense Agency.

Britton is a 1987 graduate of Giles County High School and the son of Dale Britton of Pulaski. Ryan worked part-time for WKSR when he was in high school.
