The Pulaski Water Department is working this week on sewer lines located along West College Street after a section of the line collapsed.

Drivers are asked to detour around the work until it has been completed.

According to Terry Harrison, City Administrator, a downed line was the effect of a large amount of waste going through the sewer system all at one time. The event led to an important discovery during a scan of the damage.

The scan revealed several underground sewer lines were in bad condition and needed immediate attention, Harrison said.

Pulaski Water Department Supervisor Curt Alsup also thanked residents for their continued patience while they work on the project.

The water department is partnering with LTS Construction to work on the sewer lines.
