Giles County Sheriff Kyle Helton said many people in the county have received a solicitation in the mail from the Tennessee Sheriff’s Association. Many have called his office wanting to know if it’s a scam, and the sheriff’s says it’s not.

Helton said that anything you receive in the mail from the sheriff’s association is seeking membership in the group, and nothing more.
