Lincoln County School System officials unveiled the future home of the new Blanche School last Thursday. The property, acquired for $650,000, is located at 1507 Ardmore Hwy., a mile and a half east of the current school.

A contract on the property was signed earlier this month, and while a couple of engineering-related contingencies remain to be met, Director of Lincoln County Schools Bill Heath said last week that he doesn’t anticipate any issues.

Officials will also be considering proposals from firms interested in providing such services as construction management and oversight of the Phase I Building Program, which includes the new K-8 Blanche School and a new STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) addition to Lincoln County High School.
