In light of recent events, the City of Pulaski is reminding residents to abide by the local City Dog Ordinance.

Several cases of dog-related disturbances, especially ones resulting in injury, have prompted the Board of Mayor and Alderman to discuss ways of enforcing the policies. Currently, the ordinance is solely enforced by the Pulaski Police Department

If you have a dog be sure and keep it on a leash and make sure they are properly fenced in when home.

Citations can be given to those not abiding by local laws. They typically cost a small fee but can add up over time or with court costs.

If you have an ongoing problem with a dog in your neighborhood, the best way of notifying the authorities, is to submit a formal written complaint with the Police Department.  This ensures that they can handle the issue properly.
