A member  of the National Trail of Tears Association, who also is vice president of First Nations People, will speak at a historical presentation sponsored by the Campbellsville Area Association.

Vicky Garland will be at Campbellsville United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 27th, speaking about the 1838 Cherokee Trail of Tears Removal Route that came through the Campbellsville area, known as Benge's Route.

Among the discussions, Garland will tell what is known of the Cherokee while they were in the area, how many were in Campbellsville and where they walked through the town. She will answer questions and will have a small number of National Park Service maps of the Tennessee Trail of Tears.
