A Hickman County gunshot victim survived and the suspects were found following a Giles County car crash just hours after a person died from an unrelated self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday, according to Hickman County law enforcement.

The suspects are both male juveniles and authorities have not revealed their names.

Friday morning, Hickman County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting that was later determined to be a suicide, according to a sheriff’s office.

While detectives were investigating the suicide, deputies were dispatched to the St. Thomas Hickman Hospital emergency room in Centerville for another gunshot victim. While on the way, deputies were directed to an address on Bells Branch Trail Road where the earlier shooting took place, the release states. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with family members.

Two suspects were developed and state alert was put out for the suspect. The Tennessee Highway Patrol later responded to a traffic crash involving the suspect’s vehicle.

Both the juvenile suspects were taken into custody, and the investigation into the case continues.
