TriStar and Maury Regional Health broke ground Monday afternoon on a 60-bed behavioral health hospital, a desperately needed standalone facility for southern Middle Tennessee.

The $24.4 million hospital will have 60 beds, 42 for adults and 18 for adolescents, with an estimated completion date of October 2019. It will cover 49,900 square feet near the intersection of James Campbell Boulevard and Old Williamsport Pike. The hospital will employ 150 people.

TriStar Health is one of the region’s largest healthcare providers. It has an emergency room in Spring Hill. A partnership with Maury Regional only strengthens the region’s good reputation for health care.
