The Halloween-themed Hot Air Balloon Spooktacular event was approved by the city of Spring Hill Monday night, and is set to start on October 27 at the Tennessee Children’s Home.

A first for the city, this hot air balloon festival will feature tethered hot air balloon rides reaching heights of 50 to 75 feet in the air, as well as a hot air balloon walk-through, where guests can explore the inside of the actual balloon itself. A 45-minute balloon glow synchronized to music will begin lighting up the night.

The event will also feature trademark fall festivities such as trick-or-treating, pumpkin paintings and more. In addition to the fall themed activities, the event will feature food trucks, craft vendors, inflatables and live music

Tickets to the event are $10, but kids ages 5 and under have free admission. Tethered hot air balloon rides are an additional $10, with $5 going to the pilot, and $5 going to the Tennessee Children’s Home. Tickets will not be sold at the door, and must be purchased online. Ticket purchasing and further information can be found at the Spooktacular event’s Facebook event page.
