The mother of a UT student who collapsed during a charity boxing match earlier this year and died has started a charitable foundation in his honor.

The Tanner Wray Foundation was started to provide scholarships in Lawrence County, where Wray is from, as well as a scholarship for a University of Tennessee aerospace engineering student. The group is selling wristbands and holding fundraisers to raise money.

"We want to continue his legacy of having a positive impact on people's lives," Wray's mother Ashley Schisler said.

Wray died February 23rd after collapsing between rounds of the Ace Miller Boxing Tournament. An autopsy report later revealed he died of a cardiac arrhythmia brought on by taking unprescribed Adderal and a large amount of caffeine prior to the match.
