The City of Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen met on Tuesday for a regular scheduled session.

Parade permits were issued to Giles County High School for their Homecoming parade on September 28th, to the Chamber/Main Street group for the  Here’s the Beef Festival, and the Life Choice Pregnancy Center for their annual Life Chain.

A public hearing was opened to consider amending the Zoning Ordinance concerning posting of notices to city owned accessory structures.  With no comments from the audience the ordinance was then passed.

The sale of a used pickup truck will be put up for bids, and after consideration, the bid for West College Street sewer replacement was given to LTS Construction for the low bid of $124,760.

Bids were then opened from three businesses, for a gas line extension for the Tennessee Southern Distillery in Lynnville.  These bids ranged from just over $429,000 to over $757,000.  These proposals were referred to City Administrator Terry Harrison.

One bid was received for a new garbage truck, at a cost of $207,000.  The specs will be checked, and if in compliance the bid will be awarded.

Bids were opened for street paving from Rogers Group and Wright Paving. Both bids were referred to the City Administrator.

Following Tuesdays meeting the beer board issued a Temporary Event permit for the consumption of beer for the October 4th, Chamber Chili Cook-Off and the off premise consumption beer permit was issued for the new Dollar General Store on E. College Street.
