Bobby Joe McCurry, age 78, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

He was born in Goodspring, AL on January 1, 1944, Church of Christ faith, has lived here for the past 50 plus years, he was retired from General Motors, and did small engine repair and wood working, loved his family, coached sports, loved Alabama football, had a strong work ethic.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Comer and Luna Bell Long McCurry, brother Danny Ray McCurry, close brother in law, Tony Casteel, and nephew, Jamie Casteel.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 15, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM until funeral time on Saturday, at 1:00 PM, burial to be in Giles Memory Gardens.

Survivors are:  wife, Joyce A. McCurry, Pulaski, sons, Bobby G. McCurry, Athens, Marty Joe McCurry (Sherri), Murfreesboro, brothers, Gene McCurry (Helen), Toby McCurry (Gail), Tommy McCurry, James McCurry (Amy) all of North Alabama area, sisters, Rachel Blankenship (Anderson), Nashville, Judy McCurry, North AL area, grandchildren, Allie McDonald (Christian), Jonah McCurry, Parker McCurry, Matthew McCurry, Sarah McCurry, great grandchildren, Mason, Ryder, and Miley.
