Otha Gay Appleton of Giles County died Nov. 4 at her home.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, at noon at the Legg Town Cemetery in Legg Town, Alabama.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Smith; son, Oliver Lewis Appleton and wife Kanae of Washington State; sister, Audrey Grigsby and husband George of Texas; brothers: Eddie Appleton and wife Marion of Smyrna, Clifford Appleton, William Appleton and wife Barbara of Pulaski; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren along with other relatives and friends.
