John Walker Wheeler Sr. died Friday at National Health Care, Pulaski. He was born in Pulaski and was 86 years old.
He was retired from EI DuPont in Columbia, served in the US Air Force and was a member of Stiversville Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors are: his wife, Patricia McCracken Wheeler of Lynnville; sons: John Wheeler Jr. of Kentucky and Jim Wheeler of Texas; daughter, Janet Wheeler Sullivan of Dickson; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
