Ronald “Fathead” Smith passed away Tuesday morning, March 3rd, 2020, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. He was born on May 25th, 1954 in Town Creek, Alabama and was 65 years old.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and best friend .  He was a construction worker, and ran a backhoe for Cleveland Byrd for 40 years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with his friends.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 6:30 Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

The memorial service will follow at 6:30pm on Thursday in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Huey Arthur and Catherine Mayes Smith, brothers, Michael and Tommy Smith and a great-grandchild, William Liggett.

He is survived by

Son, Israel (Andrea) Liggett of Pulaski

Daughter, Havalynn (Doug) Smith of Bay St. Louis, MS.

Grandchildren Isaac (Brooke) Liggett, Shelby Liggett, Douglas Smith, Katelynne Smith, and Aimme Smith
