Lenora Word, age 84, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Minor Hill, TN, on March 14, 1935, retired from Maremont Gabriel Corp, member of the Minor Hill Saddle Club and Booth Chapel Church of Christ, preceded in death by her parents, James Albert and Queenie Estella Camp Jones, by her husband, Dayton Word, son, Morris Word, brothers, Ollie Jones,  Rabon Jones, Grady Robinson, Oneal Jones, Leroy Camp, Clifton Jones, John Jones, and Elmer Jones, sisters, Nina Forsythe and Annie Bell Jones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, 2-27-20, from 6PM to 8PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 2-28-20, at 11AM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Minor Hill Cemetery.

Survivors are:  daughter, Phyllis Smith and husband Tom of Leoma, TN, brother, James David Jones and wife Frances of Athens, AL, sister, Myra Shelton of Winter Haven, FL, grandchildren, Zachary and wife Tessa Smith, Jamie Collins and husband Cameron, Hanna Beth Robbins, and Joshua Smith, great grandchild, Mela Smith.
