Jennie Sneed Barnickle of the Bodenham Community, passed away Sunday, February 23rd, 2020, at her home in Giles County surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 7th, 1951 in Sylacauga, AL       and was 68 years old.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Choates Creek United Methodist Church. She retired from the Giles County school system where she was the cafeteria manager at Minor Hill school. Jennie loved spending time in her flower garden. She operated a dairy farm alongside her family, and volunteered in her church and community.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory

Funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday, February 26th, 2018 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory with Ray McDonald officiating.

Burial will follow in Choates Creek Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gary Gene Barnickle, Sr. Her parents Theodore Roosevelt and Mary Florence Amason Sneed and brother David Sneed

She is survived by her,

Sons, Gene (Tangie) Barnickle of Pulaski

         Tim (Lydia) Barnickle of Pulaski

Daughter, Sherry (Jason) Sumners of Pulaski

Sisters, Sandra (John) Shultz of Lawrenceburg.

                Nora (Billy) Lovell of Lawrenceburg

                Betty Jo Templeton of South Carolina

Brother, Paul (Diane) Sneed of Lawrenceburg

Sister-in-laws, Charlotte (Ray) Watson and Barbara (Joe) Luffman all of Lawrenceburg.

10 grandchildren, Amber Stack, Olivia Stack, Whitney (Zac) Bassham, Taylor Barnickle, Sam Barnickle  Lexi Barnickle, Lindsey Barnickle, Bailey Sumners, Isaac Sumners, and Ethan Sumners.

6 great-grandchildren, Zoe Petty, Jax Scroggins, Caden Stack, Makinley Stack, Hallie Richardson and Charlie Mae Bassham

Several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.

Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Jennie Sneed Barnickle.
