James Myers Fortenberry of Prospect died on Saturday. He was born in Prentiss, Mississippi, and was 85 years old.

 He was a resident of Giles County for 50 years and was a member of Elkton Baptist Church.

 Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow (Tuesday) at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home.

 Funeral services will visitation at noon Tuesday at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with Chris Bolt officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Fortenberry of Prospect; son, Larry Fortenberry of Pulaski; daughter, Linda Turner and husband David of Prospect; brother, Ike Fortenberry of Louisiana; sisters: Helen Bullard and Jerri Love of Louisiana; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
