Robert Orville Carter of Pulaski passed away Monday evening, February 3rd, 2020, at NHC of Pulaski.  He was born on December 19th, 1930 in Athens, Alabama and was 89 years old.

He was a loving husband and father that enjoyed spending time with his family. He graduated Tanner High School in Tanner, Alabama and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years. He was a member of the P.A.C.E. Car Club here in Pulaski.

Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00pm Friday, February 7th, 2020, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm Friday, February 7th, 2020, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bob Vick officiating.

Burial will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of your choice.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edd Harrison and Beatrice Clanton Carter. Brothers, JD Carter, Avis Adcock, Jack Carter and Lonis Carter. Sisters, Madelyn Gardner and Ella Ruth McElyea.

He is survived by his;

Wife of 59 years, Eva Irene Coombs Carter of Pulaski

Son, Ed (Tammy Marie) Carter of Pulaski.

Sisters, Dorothy Ezell, Nellie Robinson, Ann Wiggington and Sue Sandlin.

Brother, Larry Carter.

Special Friends Tom and Kat Kirkpatrick, several nieces and nephews along with other family and friends also survive.
