Troy Brown Whitworth of Pulaski passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski.  He was born in Pulaski on September 20, 1924 and was 95 years old.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, a member of East Hill Church of Christ, was in the United States Army during ww2, a Giles County Trustee and a member of the Beef Master Cattleman Association and loved to buy, sell and take care of his cattle.  He helped establish the First Federal Savings & Loan in Pulaski and served as president until his retirement in the early 1990’s.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 20th from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

Funeral Service will follow visitation on Wednesday at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Jenkins officiating.

Burial takes place in Maplewood Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wynell Hamlett Whitworth in 2007, his parents, William Thomas Whitworth, Sr and Della Mae Pierce Whitworth brothers, James Perry Whitworth and William Thomas Whitworth, Jr. sisters, Mary Crabtree, Betty Hastings, Julia Whitworth sister-in-laws, Katherine Hall Whitworth, Sue Petty Whitworth and son-in-law Gary (Donny) McClure.

He is survived by

Daughter, Brenda McClure of Pulaski

Daughter, Kathy Luna of Lewisburg

Daughter, Della Corbin of Lewisburg

7 Grandchildren 14 Great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild

Sisters, Faye Taylor, Elaine Compton, Beverly (Joe) Woodard and Rebecca Holder.

Several nieces and nephews and friends also survive.
