Thelma J. Walls of Pulaski passed away Tuesday morning, November 12th, 2019, at Maury Regional Hospital. She was born in Giles County, TN on November 16th, 1940 and was 78 years old.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. She was a dedicated member of New Zion Baptist Church. Thelma was an avid dog lover and loved to read.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 16th, 2019, from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory with Christie Layne officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Giles County Humane Society c/o PO BOX 237 Pulaski, Tennessee 38478.

 She was preceded in death by her; husband Gene “Preacher” Walls, parents, Truman Clayton and Ruth Randolph Vernon, step-mother, Lillian Malone, brothers, Johnny Vernon, Jerry Vernon, and Henry Vernon, and sister, Betty Scott.

She is survived by her,

Daughter, Tammy (Mike) Kimbrough of Pulaski

Son, Gene Walls, Jr. of Pulaski

Grandchildren, Courtney Kimbrough and Cody (Madison) Kimbrough

Sister-in-laws, Elaine Vernon and Geneva Simpson both of Pulaski

Several nieces and nephews also survive.
