Patricia Y. Minatra, age 85 passed away on November 7, 2019 at Keestone-Hewitt House, Pulaski, Tennessee in the presence of her family. She was born in Ozona, Texas to the late Ben J. Young and Iva S Morley Young.
She is also preceded in death by a sister, Venecia Hokenson of Kokomo, Indiana and brother, Larry Young of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Mrs Minatra is survived by her husband of 68 years Paul Minatra of Pulaski, TN. daughter, Paula (Lewis) Pardue of Prattville, Alabama, granddaughters, Casey (Terry) Thornton of Montgomery, Alabama, Carrie (Bobby) Withers of Trussville, Alabama grandson, Thomas Pardue of Jacksonville, Alabama, a brother, Glen Young of Texas, brother, Harold (Ruth) Young of Lawrenceburg, TN. brother, Rex (Phyllis) Morley, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas, great-grandchildren, Emily Withers and Ayden Withers of Trussville, Alabama and Gabrilla Thornton of Montgomery, Alabama.
After moving from Texas, she settled in Pulaski, and attended Beech Hill High School. After graduation in 1951 she was employed by Giles County Court Clerk, Gil Abernathy until his retirement in 1954, and then worked at the Union Bank in Pulaski until 1955, when her husband was transferred to Lafayette, TN. with Kraft Foods. She worked there in Lafayette as a secretary at the Smith-Chitwood Hospital until 1957 when her husband received a transfer to Greeneville, TN. There she began work at Laughlin Hospital as a payroll Clerk. Twelve years later, she took the position of Administrative Assistant to the CEO of the hospital and held that position until she retired in 1994.
Upon her retirement she moved with her husband to the Nashville area and began her second career as a caregiver to family members. She ultimately moved back to Pulaski to continue caregiving for other family members until her health declined in 2016.
She was a member of Pulaski First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and participated in the Shawl Ministry.
She will be remembered for her smile, her laugh, her generous heart, and fierce love for her family.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 9th from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Memorial Service will follow visitation on Saturday at 2:30pm in the Chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
