James Russell (Jimmy) Lanier, age 77, died on Monday, November 4, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Marshall County, TN on May 8, 1942, retired from Rogers Group, member of New Zion Baptist Church, a fisherman and motorcycle enthusiast, he was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Lanier and Beulah Collins Lanier, beloved daughter, Heather Lanier, brothers, Tommy and Wayne Lanier.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4PM to 8PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 1PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Zion Cemetery.

Survivors are:  wife, Wanda Newton Lanier of Goodspring, TN, sons, Ray Lanier and Hope Of Pulaski, Tim Edwards of Pulaski, Lee Edwards and Marissa of Pulaski, Brian Lanier and Keesha of Pulaski, daughters, Christina Vanwormer and Dan of Pulaski, Lisa Hughes and Kyle of Pulaski, special sister, Debbie Pryor Rose and James of Pulaski, sister, Frances Johnson and Arnold of CA, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, his furry friends, Poco, Scooter, Bella and Cooper.

Memorials may be made to New Zion Baptist Building Fund, 1595 Sumac Road, Pulaski, TN, 38478.
