Larry Wayne Townsend died Saturday at the age of 78.

Visitation will be this evening (Tuesday) from 6PM to 9PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at Stella Cemetery at 3PM with Bro. Donald Terry officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Renee Townsend, sisters, Joyce Eubanks of Stella and Joan McMurtery and husband Tom of Athens, daughters, Jackie Hargrove and husband Edward of Columbia, and Molly McCrary and husband Caleb of Anderson, son, Chad Townsend of Athens, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
