Wiley T. Abernathy III died Saturday, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Pulaski. He was born in Pulaski and was 81 years old.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, owner and operator of Abernathy Hardware until 1979. He was a graduate of Columbia Military Academy in 1955, attended the University of Alabama and Martin Methodist College. He was an Eagle Scout and received the God and Country Award.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Memorial Service will take place after visitation on Wednesday at 3:00pm with Bro. Mark Johnson officiating.

He is survived by his, wife Joan Abernathy of Pulaski, two daughters. Joanie Abernathy of Franklin, and Sallie Hood of Pulaski.
