Lt. Colonel William King Toler, Sr. died Friday, at Meadowbrook Nursing & Rehab in Pulaski. He was born in Arkansas and was 85 years old.

He was a graduate of Arkansas Tech, after graduating he joined the Army where he served two tours as a rescue helicopter pilot in Vietnam.

A private family service will be held at a later time.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sue Potter Toler, two sons William Toler, Jr. of Germany and David Toler of Oregon.

Step-daughters, Roni Curry of Pulaski, Leslie McAlexander of Arkansas, Dianne Hall of Atlanta, Shannon McAlexander of Pennsylvania, and Angie Norris of Maryville.
