Robert Michael Curry died at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville after a brief illness. He was born in Pulaski and was 69 years old.

 

Survivors include his wife, PJ Drayton-Curry, children, Leslie and husband Dale Bay, Robert Sims and wife Dee Curry, John Meadows Curry, and Michael Gray Curry. Step daughter Templeton and husband Sam Thompson.  Brothers, Carroll Meadows and wife Cathy Curry, Bernard Stone Curry, John Timothy Curry, Many other close friends and family members also survive along with two grandchildren.

 

Mike graduated from Giles County High School, Martin Methodist College, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He was a Boy Scout and attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

 

He was a member of Pulaski First United Methodist Church, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of First National Bank in Pulaski until 1998, President of the Tennessee Bankers Association, and Chairman of the Board of Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, and a forensic financial analyst. Mike was a member of the Tennessee National Guard and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

 

Visitation will be tomorrow (Tuesday) from 3:00 until 7:00 at the First United Methodist Church in Pulaski.

 

Services will be 11:00am Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Pulaski. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations to First United Methodist Church Building Fund in Pulaski are suggested.
