Fred Ruth Winkles, age 86, died at his home in Prospect on Saturday. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Bethel Masonic Lodge No. 194 and served in the United States Air Force.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21st, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A Celebration of Live Service will follow at noon.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Florence (Flo) Vraspir Miner Winkles of Prospect, two sons: Robert Winkles and wife Joyce of Prospect and Kenneth Winkles and wife Yvonne of Alabama: One daughter, Pamela Crowe and husband Rickey of Alabama: two step-sons, William Miner, Sr of Florida and Mark Miner and wife Sonya of Readyville, TN: one step daughter, Diane Schroer and husband Jeff of Florida: one brother; Joseph Pierce Winkles of Alabama.
Four grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren also survive.
