Travelers stopping at any of Alabama's eight welcome centers this Saturday will be in for a treat as members of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Athens and Huntsville chapters, will be there to raise awareness of motorcyclists on the road.

At the Ardmore center, located on Interstate 65 South just below the Alabama/Tennessee state line, the annual one-day event will kick off at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Last year the GWRRA were able to speak with more than 5,000 motorists statewide. In addition to sharing their message, they'll be giving away bottles of water and enjoying the chance to give a warm welcome to some of Alabama visitors.

Many people will enjoy getting the opportunity to get up close and look at some pretty motorcycles. Anyone can have their pictures taken while on the bikes.
