Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched Thursday to Laurel Hill Wildlife Management Area in reference to an accidental drowning.

According to Sheriff's Department reports, a group of teenagers had been swimming in the Little Buffalo River, where 16-year-old Tate Davis of Lawrenceburg went under water but was not seen again.

Davis was later found on the bottom of the creek near a brush pile.

The teenager attended Lawrence County High School.
