A woman was killed and four people injured in a head-on crash in Maury County Monday morning, according to WKRN.com.

The wreck happened on Old TVA Road and New Highway 7 around 5:15 a.m.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported the 26-year-old woman killed was heading to work in Columbia. She was traveling south when her minivan crossed the center line and collided with a Dodge pick-up truck, according to the THP.

The Maury County Fire Department says two people were trapped in the minivan. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to get them out. They could not save the driver, who died behind the wheel.

A minivan passenger was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition. Three people in the pickup were taken to Maury Regional Medical Center. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

No names have been released.

The THP will obtain blood samples of drivers of both vehicles but nothing on scene leads investigators to believe alcohol or drugs played a part in crash.
