The Giles County Historical Society will host award winning author Edward Reynolds Davis, Jr., of Marietta, Georgia, to speak at their quarterly meeting at the Giles County Public Library Sunday, April 28th at 2:00pm.

His topic will be his most recent book Echoes From Rachel, a multi-generational saga about the Afro-American Reynolds family of Giles County. 

This book was the winner of the 2023 Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society International Book Award.

Signed copies of Echoes from Rachel will be available for purchase following Mr. Davis' address. 

This meeting is free to the public and will close with refreshments.
