After a warm start to our work week Monday, a round of strong to severe storms is expected to pass through North Alabama and Southern Tennessee today (Tuesday) ahead of a cold front and upper level storm system.

This could include the possibility of damaging winds, large hail and an isolated tornado.

Today will start with plenty of clouds and maybe a couple of showers in the morning. By afternoon showers and storms are expected to develop, some of which could become strong to severe.

Our area is under a level 3 out of 5 for strong to severe storms.

The remainder of the week looks quiet with chilly mornings and cooler than average afternoons for early April. Morning lows will run close to 40 with afternoon highs staying in the 60s.
