A Maury County teacher has been indicted on various sex crimes, including rape and incest.

The indictment accuses Kenny L. Anderson Jr. of engaging in sexual contact with a victim between the ages of 13 and 18 years old on several occasions from 2020 to 2023.

Anderson was suspended without pay from Maury County Public Schools in August 2023.

The indictment says at the time of the alleged crime, Anderson "used the authority to accomplish the sexual contact." The teacher allegedly had sex with the victim without consent.

Anderson's charges include: Five counts of rape, Five counts of incest, Five counts of sexual battery by an authority figure,  and One count of aggravated sexual battery
