Contrary to popular belief, the Flu is still around, and affecting adults and children. The Tennessee Department of Health reports five children have died from the flu since the beginning of the flu season.

Five pediatric influenza-associated deaths have been reported in Tennessee this season, or since October of last year, the start of Flu season.

Tennessee, among other states, remains in the “high” category regarding flu activity throughout the U.S.
