In an update to an earlier story, authorities have arrested the brother and girlfriend of Kenneth Dehart, the man believed to have shot one officer and killed another officer.

Marcus Dehart, was taken into custody Friday and charged with accessory-after-the fact.

Carrie Matthews, was arrested late Thursday. She also faces a charge of accessory after the fact. According to court documents, investigators visited her Pigeon Forge home and during that time, Matthews received a call from a “Janeisha,” but the call was actually the suspect calling, Matthews allegedly told the caller, “they’re here.” She was taken into custody and transported to the Sevier County Jail.

Officials said in a press conference Friday that Marcus Dehart is believed to have aided the suspect after the commission of the homicide. He is being held at the Blount County Jail on a $1 million bond.

The suspect, Kenneth Dehart faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and felony in possession of a firearm.

Rewards totaling over $100,000 have been offered for information leading to his arrest.
