Yesterday (Wednesday) Giles County Fire & Rescue was dispatched to Warren Lane off Minor Hill Highway, for a reported field fire.

Upon arrival it was discovered that it was a large scale field fire with approximately 50+ acres involved.

Brush trucks from Anthony Hill, Pulaski, Frankewing, and Richland all responded. A Tanker from the Pulaski station also responded for water supply.

Mutual aid was requested by New Prospect Fire, Crossroads Fire, and Lincoln Fire.

Giles County Fire & Rescue was also dispatched to another field fire in the Anderson Creek area and Ethridge Fire graciously assisted fire units from Rose Hill.

The cause of the fires are unknown at this time.
