At approximately 2:47pm Wednesday, UT Southern Security received a call of a potential threat in the area. The university immediately issued a shelter in place order while state and local authorities evaluated the threat.

The Pulaski Police Department, Giles County Sheriff’s Office, and THP responded to the phone tip about an incident at UT Southern.

Authorities worked to investigate and clear the Campus, but nothing was found according to authorities. Local schools were placed on lock-down as a precautionary measure.

No active threat was identified, and state and local authorities issued an all clear at 4:03pm. Classes for the remainder of the day were cancelled.
