A tornado touched down in Lawrenceburg Thursday during severe weather, causing damage. One minor injury has been reported.

The Lawrence County EMA confirmed that there has been tornado damage in the area with several building structures that are damaged.

The main damage occurred in Downtown Ethridge to the northeast on Grandaddy Road near North Bradley Road.

Flooding also occurred throughout Lawrence County.

Lawrenceburg Utility Systems reported more than 500 power outages.

EMA says that either an EF-0 or EF-1 tornado struck leaving damage in its wake in western and northern Lawrence County.

A 100 yard wide by 1/2 to 3/4 mile damage path starting on North Bradley Road at Grandaddy Road as well as another path from downtown Ethridge to Cross Road have been confirmed.
